Travel
Explorations takes place in Dhërmi, a coastal village on the Albanian Riviera located between the cities of Sarandë and Vlorë. It is the most beautiful spot on the entire coastline and a true hidden gem. If you joined us before, you know this already!
There are two routes to get to Dhërmi:
From Corfu
We’re working with the existing public ferry system running from Corfu to Saranda, Albania. Discounted public ferry tickets, as well as bus tickets from Saranda to Dhërmi will be available at a later date. Please stay tuned for more information.
From Tirana
The second route is a 2-hour ride via minibus or private taxi from Albania’s capital, Tirana. Flight times to Tirana are also under 3 hours from most major European cities. You will be able to book this transfer option during the pre-sale.
See more on our travel page.
Head to our travel page for more information.
If you’re using taxis, we will let you know when we need your flight details, as well as how they need to be input.
Absolutely, we strongly recommend going out and exploring the country either before or after the festival.
Please note that there is no car hire available in Dhërmi, but you can get a taxi to or from Saranda to hire a car and explore further.
As our guests travel from all over the world, we recommend that you visit your own Governments’ website, and research the visa requirements from your own country.
If you are travelling from the UK via Corfu please note that tourists from the UK will be able to travel to countries in the Schengen area, which includes Greece, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. This applies if you travel as a tourist. Which includes attending cultural or sports events.
If you are travelling to Greece and other Schengen countries without a visa, make sure your whole visit is within the 90-day limit. Visits to Schengen countries within the previous 180 days before you travel count towards your 90 days.
If you are flying straight to Albania, please note that British citizens can enter and remain in Albania for a maximum of 90 days in every 6-month period without a visa. Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 3 months from the date of entry into Albania.
If you are applying for a visa we can help support any visa applications with a template just contact our customer service team at explorations@anjunabeats.com
If you don't hear back in time, we will support where we can but please be aware you will still need to keep to your payment deadlines and will be at risk of cancellation if you miss your deadlines.
The majority of Explorations customers travel to Explorations via Corfu. Please see the above question for more details about visa requirements for UK citizens.
While we cannot recommend specific insurance companies or policies, we advise that all our customers do extensive research around their own insurance policy to ensure they are covered extensively.
Tickets & Accommodation
We recommend starting with our 'Booking Guide' page, where you'll find detailed information on the booking process and everything you need to know. If you still have any questions, feel free to contact our customer service team at explorations@anjunabeats.com.
A festival ticket and hotel stay starts at only £370pp. Please note that all tickets to the festival are sold with accommodation, and the final price for the package depends on the hotel type, length of stay, and transfers.
There are options for everyone, from cosy 3* hotels to exotic beach huts and fancy 5* hotels, all at excellent prices. The majority of hotels are within the 3* and 4* range, with a small selection of other hotels.
Having your own shower and a comfy bed to rest after a little too much dancing is one of the aspects that make Explorations such a different festival experience.
Head to our accommodation page for more information.
There are four areas where you can stay: Festival site, Dhërmi, Perivolos and Drymades.
Hotels within walking distance
Festival site: All of this accommodation is within the boundaries of the actual festival site. These hotels are within a couple minutes walk from the stages. As close as it gets! There are only a handful hotels here and are very sought after which means they sell out very quickly.
Dhërmi: All the accommodation around Dhërmi beach is also within a 5-10 minute walk from the stages. Hotels here are in high demand too and usually sell out quite quickly.
Hotels within the shuttle bus route
Drymades: A lovely neighbouring beach to Dhërmi, just a 10-minute drive from the festival - a great choice if you’d rather not be in the middle of the action.
Perivolos: Set between Dhërmi and Drymades beaches, this charming coastal town is the perfect midpoint - only a 5-minute drive from the festival.
We operate a shuttle bus service between Dhërmi, Perivolos and Drymades so if your accommodation is not within walking distance, it’s still easy to get to and from the festival site.
Most of the accommodation options can host 2-3 people, with the largest option accommodating up to 6 people. For larger groups, we recommend splitting across multiple rooms. You can book several rooms in the same hotel or nearby to keep everyone together.
Make sure to coordinate with your group ahead of time on how you’ll divide the rooms, so you know exactly what to look for when tickets go on sale (e.g. 3 rooms with 2 people in each).
Some of our apartment options include cooking facilities. Be sure to check the apartment descriptions when booking for more details.
Most places don’t include breakfast. Some offer it as an add-on, check with your hotel when you arrive.
Hotels in Dhërmi have minimum stay policies:
- Festival site hotels: 5 nights
- Dhërmi Beach: 5 nights
- Perivolos: 3 nights
- Drymades: 3 nights
We highly recommend the full week though, the programming is designed to balance dancing, exploring and proper chill time. Trust us, once you’re here you won’t want to leave.
Yes there are some options for solo travellers although these are very limited. We recommend booking as soon as tickets go on sale as these usually sell out quickly.
If you cannot find anything suitable, you can join the Explorations Find a Friend Facebook group to meet others and share accommodation.
No. All Explorations tickets include accommodation as part of the package.
By including accommodation, we're able to secure the best-value rates for festival week in 2027 and beyond, while ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless, stress-free holiday experience.
To keep things fair for everyone, Mainstage Festivals reserves the right to cancel bookings where multiple rooms are reserved with the intention of using only one, leaving others vacant, or reselling them without our authorisation. This applies whether the rooms are booked through Mainstage Festivals or a third party. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details.
We are sorry to hear, life gets in the way sometimes. Think of this as any other holiday booking. If your plans change and you can no longer attend you have the following options:
If the rest of the group can still make it:
If the rest of the people in the booking can still make it, the easiest solution is for you to find someone to take your spot.
You can change the name on the reservation up to 1 week before the event. Name changes are free before April 30, 2027. After that, there is an admin fee.
If the entire group is not going to make it:
You can cancel your booking at any time. However, as with any other holiday package, cancellation fees may apply. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions and agree to them before booking a package.
Please read our terms & conditions.
If you cancel your booking before any of your payment deadlines, you would only lose the deposit & booking fee.
The closer you are to the festival, the higher the cancellation charge will be. These are calculated on a sliding scale based on your payment deadlines. Once a payment deadline has passed, you are liable for the corresponding installment amount as well as any payments made beforehand. The same payment deadlines apply even if you decided to pay in full at the time of booking. Payment deadlines can be found on your booking confirmation.
If you have any concerns about your booking and are considering cancelling, please email us first at explorations@anjunabeats.com so we can advise and help you make a decision. By cancelling your booking you are agreeing to the cancellation terms and that decision is final and cannot be reversed.
Yes. The lead booker can update guest details free of charge up to 6 weeks before the festival.
Each guest must have their own first name, surname and email address. These details must match the valid photo ID they'll bring to the festival, as they'll appear on their individual e-ticket.
Until April 30, 2027: Guest details can be updated free of charge.
After April 30, 2027: A £55 name change fee applies per person. Please email explorations@anjunabeats.com to request a change.
7 days before the festival: Name changes will close and can no longer be made.
Yes, that’s no problem! Adding a person to your booking is easy if you have space in your accommodation. To do so, please send explorations@anjunabeats.com your new guest’s full name and email address.
Our customer service team will handle the rest. Once added, your friend will receive a link to pay their deposit, and they’ll be all set to join your group.
Please contact our customer service team for any questions relating to your accommodation. We will liaise with the owners directly on your behalf and come back to you with more information. The email is explorations@anjunabeats.com.
Only ever buy your ticket through the official Explorations website.
Scammers love big festivals and fake tickets are out there. Here’s the deal:
We don’t release e-tickets until the week before the festival, so if someone says they’ve got one already, it’s fake. They are generally sent out 2-5 days before the start of the event.
If you’re unsure, email our team and we’ll check for you.
The safest bet? Join our 2027 list and grab yours directly.
If you have any concerns or suspicions, please reach out to our customer service team at explorations@anjunabeats.com.
No, sorry. Extras can only be purchased for guests included on your own booking. You cannot purchase extras for anyone who is not listed on your booking.
You’ll get your e-ticket and pre-trip info about one week before Explorations.
Bring your e-ticket with you, swap it for a wristband when you arrive, and you’re good to go.
Yes! You can add another guest to your booking, provided there is a spare bed available in your accommodation.
To do this, the lead booker should email explorations@anjunabeats.com requesting that an additional guest be added to the booking. Our team will add an extra festival wristband to your reservation. Once this has been done, the lead booker can enter the new guest’s details in the booking portal, and the guest will receive an invitation to complete their information.
Please note: Guests cannot book separate accommodation solely to obtain a festival wristband and then move into another booking. Any additional guest must be added directly to the booking they intend to stay in, subject to availability.
Yes. Residents of Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia can get discounted wristband-only tickets (no accommodation included).
These are released closer to the event.
You can read our terms and conditions here.
Yes! You can change your accommodation during our live sales. Make a new booking during the sale and reach out with the new and old booking IDs and the team can assist with the rest.
A few important notes:
You can only change your accommodation 60+ days before the event.
Your booking must not be fully paid to make a change.
Any overpayments can’t be refunded, but can be used towards other bookable extras.
Accommodation changes can only be made once per booking.
We recommend emailing our team explorations@anjunabeats.com to check if you are able to change your accommodation as this may not be possible.
Festival Information
Many hotels are within walking distance of Explorations. If you're staying in the quieter areas of the Riviera, there will be a regular shuttle bus service running to and from the festival for guests in Drymades or Dhërmi town. Shuttle bus tickets can be purchased along with your ferry transfers when they become available.
Dhërmi is a small coastal village. There are medical services, bars, restaurants and several small shops. There is only one ATM in Dhërmi and another in Drymades. You will need cash for restaurants and local shops but the festival area (bars, festival market) are contactless.
Restaurants are cheap and a meal will cost between €5-15. Some may increase their prices, but you’ll definitely be able to find cheap meals around the village.
Supermarkets are limited but do sell alcohol. Drink prices will vary from bar to bar ranging from €4-8 euros depending on the drink.
Explorations is a cashless festival and all bars as well as a selection of restaurants and food stands will only accept payment from your wristband. More information about this will be shared closer to the event.
We’ve designed this year’s festival program with the perfect balance of music, adventure, and relaxation in mind. Between sets, take your time to wander through the charm of Dhërmi or unwind along its sun-drenched shores. Our beloved wellness program and legendary Gjipe Beach will make their return in 2027 - you'll be able to book these at a later date.
Music
Phase one of the lineup will be announced soon - keep your eyes peeled!
The main festival programming takes place between Thursday, June 10 and the early morning of Wednesday, June 16, 2027.
The full schedule will be released closer to the event. Expect music from the afternoon until the early hours across multiple stages.
Accessibility
Please email us if you have any access requirements on explorations@anjunabeats.com.
We will provide viewing areas where possible for accessible customers and PA's only. The areas will have a good line of sight to the stage and seating if required.
Pavilion, Splendor, The Cove and Panorama are all accessible via ramps, although some parts of the venues are via stair access.
Unfortunately, Gjipe is not currently accessible for some mobility impairments as the boats are unable to safely load & unload due to rough seas and steep gangways.
If you require a service or assistance animal to attend the festival, please contact our customer service team at explorations@anjunabeats.com.
